Your First Lessons

Firstly, we will explore the apparatus of the body, i.e. the lungs, deep breathing, the diaphragm, etc. You will learn a breathing exercise and warm up exercises to do at home for about 10 minutes a day.

During the next lesson your progress is reviewed and then we move on to more warm up exercises, which lead us to your first song. Gradually I will assess your vocal range.

Everyone can improve as long as they are prepared to put the work in at home, not just in the one hour lesson.

You can choose from any style of singing, classical, jazz, blues, popular, cabaret, and show songs, however I do advise whether your voice is suited to a particular style.

Beginners are advised not to choose something too challenging to start with. Over time we can work towards greater achievements, as I get to know and develop your voice.
